Drilling Services

By combining highly trained drilling specialists with one of the largest drilling fleets in the UK, Geotechnical Engineering offers comprehensive drilling services to our clients.

Our plant holding comprises of 26 bespoke designed drilling rigs with varied capabilities to suit the objectives of each drilling project. Our in-house plant maintenance team adhere to a robust preventative maintenance programme, completing regular, comprehensive maintenance inspections and servicing to ensure our equipment performs on every scheme.

Our drilling staff hold industry standard and advanced qualifications, to ensure your drilling project is completed to the highest of standards. All of our fieldworks are supported by our team of industry experts comprising of RoGEP registered chartered geologists, Specialists in Land Contamination (SiLC) and NEC accredited project managers. A number of our company directors hold positions on advisory panels of organisations such as the British Drilling Association (BDA),  Association of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Specialists (AGS), and British Geotechnical Association (BGA). this ensures we remain at the forefront of the drilling industry by contributing to the continual development of industry best practice.

We are renowned for our experience of conducting challenging access projects. Our award-winning slope climbing fleet has been collecting sub surface information from environments such as infrastructure earthworks, challenging terrain environments and reservoir wave walls since the development of the equipment in 2008. The dynamic sampling P45 rig and multipurpose P60 equipment creates a unique safe working platform for undertaking intrusive geotechnical investigations on slopes up to 45 degrees.
