What is Dynamic Sampling?
The percussive window or windowless sampling method involves driving cylindrical steel tubes into the ground using a hydraulic hammer. The drilling rigs are mounted on rubber tracks and disturbance is minimal making the rigs suitable for use on environmentally sensitive sites. Also called window or windowless drilling - all of our rigs are capable of carrying out this part of a ground investigation process.
There are a various drilling techniques used which can be used to sink a borehole into the ground. Each drilling technique has its advantages and disadvantages, in terms of the depth to which it can drill, the type of sample returned, the costs involved and penetration rates achieved. There are two basic types of drills: drills which produce rock chips, and drills which produce core samples.
