What is a Site Investigation?

Posted on Posted in Ground Investigation

A Geotechnical Site Investigation, put simply, is the process of collecting ground data in order to foresee how the soil and rock will react to a planned development, helping you make the right decisions and ultimately reduce any risks. To obtain this data an in-situ ground investigation is carried out to establish parameters for foundations, substructure and infrastructure design and to assess any potential contamination risks posed to humans, controlled waters, property and the environment.
